This modular classroom facility was delivered through the Mohave Educational Services Cooperative contract, allowing procurement to be streamlined and the project to be completed on an accelerated schedule. The building was delivered on time, ensuring students were welcomed into their new classrooms at the start of the school year.
Structurally, project features 2 story masonry classrooms with steel deck over SJI steel joist roof framing and composite concrete-steel deck and wide flange beam floor system. A continuous steel framed bridge was designed to connect classrooms with construction / separation joints between structures to isolate thermal movement and load transfer between buildings. Single story gymnasium and administrative buildings utilized wood framed roof assemblies with structural insulation panels supported by masonry walls and tee shaped steel beams with double channel steel columns at exterior features. Buildings were founded on conventional concrete spread footings
